Judy Hirotaka is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), has been in the financial services business for more than twenty-five years.

Judy graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  After graduating, she moved to California and began her career in the Financial Services business sector.  Early in her career Judy worked at Merrill Lynch & Company as a Financial Consultant, and then moved on to Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. where she worked for nearly a decade.

Judy began at the Schwab Sunnyvale Branch as a Registered Representative, and then moved onto Schwab 500 where she maintained relationships with some of Schwab’s most active traders.  After spending nearly a decade maintaining relationships, an opportunity became available to work for Schwab’s joint venture with Tokio Marine, one of Japan’s largest property and casualty Insurers.  As a part of the joint planning process, Judy moved to Japan to help launch the joint venture’s call center.  After returning to the U.S. she continued to work for Schwab in their Help and Advice unit promoting relationship management tools and helping improve processes within the Help & Advice teams.

During Judy’s extensive 25+ years in financial services, she has learned the importance of financial planning.  Judy believes that planning is the foundation of helping individual investors reach their life goals.  She performs in-depth reviews of clients’ current financial picture to help achieve both short and long-term financial goals.  She recommends wealth preservation/accumulation, risk management and wealth transfer strategies, providing comprehensive financial plans for individuals and families. She holds the CFP®, ChFC®, CWS® and CDFA® designations.

Judy lives here in the Bay Area not far from our office.  Her elderly parents moved into her home, following a renovation to make it comfortable, over a decade ago following their retirement.  This has enabled Judy to have firsthand experience addressing the issues facing those who are living longer.  Judy speaks fluent Japanese and enjoys her two “fur babies” named Tiger and Tiny.
